*Depressed is when you feel helpless and ‘numb’, and not able to recognise positive things around you. Depression affects many of us for a short period of time at some point of our lives, and if it lingers on for longer it becomes a burden. If you are depressed, you may be feeling down or tearful, unable to find motivation to do much. Depression has been described as a big grey cloud above your head, perhaps making you feel isolated and wanting to hide away at the same time. Sometimes it might also stop you from having a good night sleep, and even developing insomnia. But it doesn’t have to be this way!
If you are feeling depressed, down or low, it is good to find someone to talk to, someone who will not judge you. Sometimes it may be beneficial, with help from an experienced professional, to let go of issues from the past, the ‘baggage’ that may make it harder to be positive. A skilled Hypnotherapist can utilise Hypnosis on its own, or use it together with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which can ease symptoms of depression, and help regain positive outlook as well as confidence and motivation. During the process you can find your own strengths you may have forgotten you have, that will help you fight depression!
