Welcome to the Leicestershire Hypnotherapy Practice website. Hypnotherapy is based on the fact that there are two minds: the Conscious and the Unconscious. The Conscious mind helps you make every-day decisions and supports you in reacting to every-day situations through your behaviours and habits. Once a decision is made in the Conscious mind, your Unconscious runs the program in the most efficient way it can. The problem is that the decision made by the Conscious mind may have been influenced by the environment, your bad experiences, and your perceptions. That means that you may be afraid to speak in public, afraid of spiders, have a habit of snacking or overeating, or believe that smoking relaxes you…they are all behaviours that your Unconscious mind has been ‘programmed’ with over the years and is now stuck in the reality of that behaviour, habit, thinking pattern etc.

Here is the good news: As your Unconscious mind has learned one way of behaving, it can learn another! Yes, you can free yourself from any habit, behaviour or thinking pattern that you no longer wish to identify yourself with. Through Hypnosis, if used by a skilled Hypnotherapist who can access your Unconscious mind directly, you can change out-of-date program that your mind is used to running...it’s that simple!
